In their world, if you are 30 and single, you have a big problem, and even God Almighty cannot always help you.
A new human relations drama series that provides a peek into the life of a group of young people, members of a conservative religious community, who are trying to find their way between the old world of strict laws and prohibitions, and the new one, where anything goes. They contemplate careers, cope with the family pressures to get married, ponder social and spiritual dilemmas, but most of all, they seek what we all seek, love.
Throughout the series, we are exposed to the dating scene among young conservative Jews. From one date to the next, from one matchmaking to another, Devout Love is also a drama about friendship, loyalty, secrets, lies… and betrayal.
It looks so familiar, but at the same time, so different. The perpetual tension between the world inside and the one outside, between the commandments of tradition and those of the heart, between believing in God and trusting in love, creates a superb drama that keeps the viewers hanging on the edge, until the next episode.
The creators of Devout Love former are members of the religious community and have managed to produce a drama series so authentic, up to date, and easy to identify with, that it makes every viewer believe… in love.
